Fort Worth honored with statewide award for City Hall upgrade:
The City of Fort Worth was recognized with a Best of Texas Award in the category of Best Workforce/Workplace Initiative for its successful City Hall-Retrofit and Move project.
The award was presented by Government Technology during the Texas Digital Government Summit on July 24 at the JW Marriott in Austin Marilyn Marvin, director of property management, and Sallie Trotter, deputy director chief technology officer in IT Solutions, accepted the award for the City. Their attendance showed Fort Worth’s commitment to improving government operations and workplace infrastructure. The City Hall retrofit project marked a key milestone in Fort Worth’s efforts to create efficient and collaborative workspaces for employees while improving public access to City services.
The City will formally recognize this achievement during the City Council work session on Aug. 19.
